On a night that will forever remain etched in our hearts, Te Taamatatanga o Pukekohekohe hosted its first Poo Whakanuia—an evening of celebration and recognition that epitomised the essence of our kura, our students, our kaiako, and the strength of our whaanau and community.
The grand occasion brought together a remarkable gathering of people whose collective presence made the night even more special. A heartfelt thanks to our organisers, who meticulously planned every detail, and to our incredible MC for the evening, Whaaea Pikiteora, whose charisma kept the night flowing beautifully.
A special mention goes to our whaanau who without their unwavering trust and belief this would not hav been possible. To Pastor Don and Pastor Rupert from Uplift Church, who have been nothing but gracious in allowing us to utilise their space as our temporary base while we await the readiness of our Tuhimata Road premises in the new year. Your support has been invaluable to our kura, and we are truly grateful.
The event shone a spotlight on the dedication and achievements of our tuakana students and their kaiako, Whaaea Hana Wijohn, who radiated pride and elegance on this momentous occasion. The evening was a testament to their hard work and the strong values our kura embodies.
The awards presented on the night were truly deserved by their recipients, highlighting the spirit of excellence and commitment that define Te Taamatatanga o Pukekohekohe. It was an epic celebration of unity, achievement, and aroha—a night that reinforced our collective vision for a bright and prosperous future.
To everyone who attended, thank you for being part of this milestone. Together, we continue to build and uphold the dreams of Te Taamatatanga o Pukekohekohe. Here's to many more nights of celebration and success!
