Te Taamatatanga o Pukekohekohe is guided by four foundational pou that define our vision and actions:

These pou provide the foundation for our kura, nurturing holistic development and shared aspirations.
Ngaa Tuumanako / Expectations
At Te Taamatatanga o Pukekohekohe, we uphold high expectations for our aakonga, encouraging them to embody the essence of our pou in their actions and behaviours.
1. Behaviour
Aakonga are expected to demonstrate respect for themselves, others, and the kura, upholding the mana of all.
2. Learning Commitments
Engagement in classroom learning and the completion of homework are fundamental to achieving success and personal growth.
3. Attendance
Punctuality and regular attendance are essential. All absences and early departures must be approved to maintain accountability.
4. Uniform
Wearing the correct kura uniform reflects respect, pride, and commitment to Te Taamatatanga o Pukekohekohe.
5. Digital Devices
Personal devices are not permitted during school hours, ensuring focus on learning and connection.
6. Safety and Travel
Bicycles: Helmets must be worn when travelling by bicycle, prioritizing safety.
Pedestrians: Safe use of pedestrian crossings is essential to protect all members of the kura community.
7. Disciplinary Measures
Te Taamatatanga o Pukekohekohe enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward violence, bullying, or substance use. Breaches will result in immediate action, ranging from Kaiako intervention to referral to the Tumuaki.
