Exciting Draw for Wesley College and Te Taamatatanga o Pukekohekohe at Polyfest 2025!

The anticipation is building as we edge closer to Polyfest 2025! Yesterday, at the Polyfest 2025 Maaori Stage hui, we had the exciting experience of witnessing the draw for our kapa haka roopu – a combined team representing 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲, 𝗣𝘂𝗸𝗲𝗸𝗼𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, and 𝗧𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗼 𝗣𝘂𝗸𝗲𝗸𝗼𝗵𝗲𝗸𝗼𝗵𝗲.

Being among the 73 competing schools and kura, all gearing up for this four-day kapa haka extravaganza, was both exhilarating and inspiring. With 𝟯𝟬 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟯 alone, our roopu is set to make its debut in a highly competitive and vibrant space.

We are thrilled to have received a favourable draw, with our confirmed performance scheduled for 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹, 𝗮𝘁 2:00 𝗣𝗠.

• Papakura High School – Friday at 10:55 AM

• Pukekohe High School – Friday at 3:00 PM

With just two 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗼, the excitement is real! Our aakonga and kaiako are working tirelessly in preparation for their first-ever Polyfest performance, and we cannot wait to showcase the hard work, dedication, and passion that has gone into this kaupapa.
